About Gastro Arkansas

Dr. Craig Davis

Dr. Craig Davis graduated from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN with a B.S. in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Davis completed his Residency at the Mayo Clinic in 2007 and received his Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Alabama.

Dr. Kakati

Dr. Bobby Kakati graduated from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL with a B.S. in Biomedical Science in 2005. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 2009. Dr. Kakati completed his Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Debra Morrison

Dr. Debra Morrison has been a gastroenterologist at GastroArkansas for more than 30 years. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1981. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency in 1984 and a Gastroenterology Fellowship in 1987 at UAMS.

Crystal Brown

Crystal Brown received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2015, graduating with honors. She has been in nursing since she was 17 years old, first working as a restorative CNA, then graduating from LPN school at the age of 19. She has been with GastroArkansas since 2013, first as an RN in one of our endoscopy centers, and now seeing patients in the clinic as a Nurse Practitioner.

Lee Family

Jared lee was very aware of how predominant cancer was in his family. His mom, her mother and dad. Her brother died at 32 and it started in his colon. It was a relationship that his wife had made with the administrator of GastroArkansas that eventually got Jared to get his colonoscopy scheduled.

Dr. Meziere

Dr. Tom Meziere graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Laboratory Technology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1984 and received the AOA Distinguished Graduate Award. Dr. Meziere completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Good Samaritan Medical Center through the University of Arizona in 1987

David Backstedt M.D.

Dr. David Backstedt graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a B.S in Biological Engineering in 2007. He went on to complete his medical degree in 2011 at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Backstedt completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2014.

Tiffany Talbert

It would take Tiffany Talbert three years to finally get a diagnosis Crohn's disease. It's inflammation of your GI tract, you can get it anywhere. Tiffany's case was so severe she stayed in pediatric care until the age of 21 but eventually had to find a new clinic. She found the best care here at GastroArkansas, seven surgeries later Tiffany had her entire colon removed.
