Do not drink or eat past midnight the night prior to your procedure.
No sedation is necessary unless this test is included with an EGD.
You MAY eat and drink during the 24 hour study.

The following medications should not be taken the night before or during the 24 hour testing period:

Tagamet, Zantac, Axid, Reglan,
Antacids such as Tums, Mylanta, Pepcid, 
Carafate, Gaviscon, Rolaids, Maalox

The following medications should not be taken one week before or during the 24 hour period:

Prevacid (lansoprazole)

Prilosec OTC

Prilosec (omeprazole)

Nexium (esomeprazole)

Protonix (pantoprazole)

Aciphex (rabeprazole)
